Sam Connew is one of the hardest working people in Australian wine so it is wonderful to see her Stargazer brand taking flight. As the previous Chief Winemaker a the famous Wirra Wirra vineyards, said she’d never start her own label. Never.She packed her bags and left the Vale to her home in the Hunter Valley. A couple of trips to Tassie later, and boom, Stargazer was born. It is a labour of love for Sam, making small quantities of wine from small parcels of fruit. Striving for individuality and quality. Sam’s wines are beautiful, ethereal representations of the Apple Isle. Bottled at 13.5% ABV.

Flaming Pig gets its name from the great whiskey fire in Dublin in 1875 when 5000 barbells of whiskey caught on fire and the loan squeal of a flaming Pig raised the alarm saving the city and whiskey.
